About Me

My photo
I consider myself an average person. My belief in God is my foundation, my ALL. In general life is hard, but to walk this life without my God would be unimaginable. My husband Chris, is an extraordinary man, loves God and Loves his family. We found ourselves walking the road of infertility 3 years into our marriage. It was a challenging road to walk through, but i wouldn't change a thing. God has its purpose for this valley we are traveling through (psalms 84:6) .With God's grace we have made this valley into a place of springs! I’m truly blessed. God has and continues to show favor in our lives. I pray every day that I never stop seen the good things God has done in my life.

BOUNDARIES- October 26, 2011.

Our four lil ones didn't know, understand why it was important to sleep in separate beds. Separate rooms boys/girls room. The first few days of bedtime was VERY difficult. It's been month with  the kids now,  things are getting a lot better, they are starting to understand the consistency of bed time (sometimes) . :)
The children came with a great appetite, not picky at all! They eat everything, no allergies, No Problem! Thank you Jesus

Boundaries, what a challenge! It's been a new experience for all four kids, they now  realize that it is necessary to follow a schedule, and unfortunately there is a consequence should they decide to make bad choices. ( nite-nite time and  time-out time) is an everyday STRUGGLE, not popular at all at the Alvaro house hold.
I have to remember that there is a lot of Rejection my kids are struggling with( hence a lot of behavioral issues we have to deal with). I'm sure my two oldest wonder why were they separated from their bio family? How is it possibly that this family could love us as much if not MORE as our Bio family?  BIG questions for such a small child, JESUS help us! It didn't take long to see my kids thrive in school and socially, they have quickly become MY HEROES:)

Journey begins as foster parents

Sep. 23, 2011- My husband and I went from a party of two to a party of six! We became the guardians to four adorable siblings 6,3,2 lil boys and a 5yr old lil girl. They are all adorable and unique in there own special way. My husband is wonderful and SUPPORTIVE! We have become more united than ever, Only GOD can bring such unity. He has stepped into the role of DAD with such wisdom and pride.
We volunteered ourselves to the task, it was not much of a surprise when the children were delivered. They were dropped of my house different hours of the day (the children were split in different homes) when they finally were reunited it was like a big party for them. A quick adjustment  for me is the lack of sleep one can get with four kids all under 6. It seems that the two lil ones don't like to sleep much!
It is a journey i didn't think i would ever be taking, but GOD has his plans and sometimes they don't match up with my plans.  Nonetheless, we are thoroughly enjoying the kids!

We are encouraged with God’s grace every day! God says-“He fills my life with good things. My youth is renewed like the eagle’s”-psalm  103:5.

Blessings,

Nancy
